Open Mic on board by Dario Sorgato

There were words
There was music.
There were sounds.
There were lights.
There were people.
There was poetry.
And magic.
That is what Heraclitus is about.
And this is how the ethnospheric expedition moves on.
We get to know the culture through the people, their lives, their souls.
Poetry is definitely one of the art forms that expresses the emotions with a language that most of human can understand. Words.
No matter whether they are in English or in Spanish. Sometimes in Italian.
Words are sounds with a meaning but you don't always need the meaning to understand.
To feel.
To know.
Their music can be enough.
Music of words. Of cords. Of Cellos. Of guitars.
Of voices.
It happened last night. Here. On board of Heraclitus.
A night almost imporvised as a joint venture with THE POET PASSAGE, the place from where Lady Lee Andrews spreads her words.
Lady and her brother Damien helped Heraclitus during the recontruction works after the sinking in 1989.
Carlos lead the event, calling one after the other the poets and musicians that signed to share their poetry while Dario, dressed up as 'IL FOLLETTO DELLA MAGIA E DELLA POESIA' was welcoming the audience on board, presenting the crew, the expedition and the porpouse of the event.
It couldn't be more intense, especially with the active participation of the first poet of the night, special guest in his own home, Johnny 'Dolphin' Allen.
